Scottish Arts Council Chief Executive Jim Tough has been appointed Area Executive Director, North, for Arts Council England from April.

Sarah Maxfield is Director, North West.
Sarah has a wealth of senior experience in our sector. She is currently Chief Executive of Oxford Inspires, the cultural development agency for Oxford and Oxfordshire. Previously she was Head of Cultural Development for Kent County Council and prior to that Deputy Chief Executive of Southern Arts Board.She has also worked for Northern Arts and as County Arts Officer for Cumbria County Council.

Sarah will start full time on 6 April.
