Biography

I create innovative millinery designs in embroidered felt and sinamay using an array of materials, including my own and locally sourced wool and feathers, in combination with natural dyes. My emphasis is on stitch and manipulation techniques of my own design, to create uniquely embellished, stylish headwear.

Brought up on a Lakeland hill farm and being a keeper and breeder of sheep and poultry I am in the fortuitous position of being able to unite my passions for natural history, historical research, art, textile design and stitch, with that of creative making.
